The painting is of a meditation pond with lily pads floating on the surface, some floating down a stream in the background. A forest of pine trees border the pond, showing melting snow and a buddha statue in the midst. The image came to me as I witnessed a dear friend navigate a rough patch. She was so graceful and allowed herself to take one step at a time, like jumping from one lily pad to the next, without worrying what to do after that.
